The Young Writers of Ventura is a writing group with the mission of providing a place for new, fresh writers from Ventura County, California to express themselves through writing, the spoken word, and literary discussion. The group will begin meetings in the first week of June on a date to be announced. Writing workshops, discussion, open mic nights, and readings will go on throughout the year, and writers are encouraged to post their work on this online forum.
YWV is primarily intended to serve high school and college-aged writers and writing enthusiasts from the Tri-County area, though everyone is welcome to participate and comment on the online forum, and to attend the readings, meetings, and events.
